Terms

The rules of the table, in plain language.

Last updated October 4, 2026

The pilot

Teatime is an early pilot. Requesting an invite doesn’t guarantee one, and features, schedules and availability may change or stop while we learn what works.

Who can use Teatime

You must be at least 18 years old. You agree to use your real name and to give accurate information about yourself.

How to behave at a table

  • Be kind, even when you disagree. Disagree with ideas, not people.
  • No harassment, hate, sexual content, threats or intimidation.
  • No selling, recruiting, promoting anything or asking anyone for money.
  • Teatime is for friendship. Don’t treat your table as a dating pool.
  • Don’t record, screenshot or share anything from a table without everyone’s permission.
  • Show up when you’ve said you will, or give your seat back in time.

We may stop seating anyone who breaks these rules, at our discretion.

Meeting in person

Meeting your table in person is always optional. If you do, meet somewhere public, tell someone where you’re going, and leave whenever you like. Teatime suggests places but doesn’t organize, host or supervise meetups, and isn’t responsible for what happens at them.

Your content

The one-line updates and messages you write are shown to your table. Questions you suggest may be shown to other members. You keep ownership of what you write, and you give us permission to display it on Teatime.

No guarantees

Teatime is provided as is. We work hard to seat good people together, but we can’t guarantee how any conversation will go, and we aren’t responsible for what other members say or do.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product develops; we’ll post changes here. Questions: hello@helloteatime.com.
